- The job search process can be quite frustrating. Sometimes it can seem like you're sending your resume into a giant black hole, and you never hear anything back. I think it's important that we add a human element to your job search. In addition to doing the traditional job searches online and applying for jobs on a regular basis, I highly recommend you ask for help finding a job. When I say ask for help, what I mean is leverage your network. Your network includes friends, family, and former colleagues. Think of anyone that might be able to help connect you with an employer that would benefit from your skillset. Make a list of folks that you think would be worth reaching out to. Then reach out on social media, text message, or some other means. People want to help. But the fact is, you'll never get what you don't ask for.
