Agile principles in leadership
- The Agile Manifesto isn't just for teams. These items apply to leaders as well. Once you know how the Manifesto applies to you, you'll be able to lead your teams and organization to higher levels of success. The four focus areas in the Manifesto are individuals and interactions, working software, customer collaboration and responding to change. Let's start with individuals and interactions. As a leader, when you focus on this, your behavior changes. When problems arise, and they will, you switch from solve to explore. You'll ask more questions of your teams like what are your options? Who are you working with to resolve this? What's the desired outcome? As you do this, you're showing your teams that they're able to resolve issues without help.
