- Before your first meeting with an investor, one thing you should prepare for is expecting them to ask you a lot of questions. Don't be alarmed if you don't know the answers. One of the best ways to prepare yourself is anticipating some of the questions they may ask you. Just as much as you're doing due diligence in the business decisions you make, investors want to make sure they're doing their due diligence as well. One of the toughest questions founders get asked is what do they project their business to be and what's the big picture goal and vision? This is not an easy question to answer because much of it is based on hope and assumptions. So how do you answer that tough question and sound promising? Well I don't recommend answering it by saying your project will be a successful disruptive business because that isn't very convincing.
