- [Pete] Well, so, I guess when I think about managing up, I guess (laughs) the first thing that my brain goes to is, all right, boss is doing something annoying, troublesome, unprofessional, rude-- - [Mary] Yeah. - [Pete] That is driving you nuts, in one way or another, and you got to have that tricky conversation with a conflict, but then there's a power dynamic in which you are-- - Mm-hm. - The lower, so that's the first thing I think of when I hear managing up.
