From the course: Business Etiquette: Meetings, Meals, and Networking Events

Welcome

- Trying to figure out the right business etiquette in all our varying business situations can make your head spin. Who picks up a check at a business meal? What's the best way to speak up in a meeting? Or how do I start a conversation at a networking event? A business deal or step up in your career can be made or lost during these essential interactions. Being seen as professional, confident, and able is so important to achieve your goals, but it can all be so confusing. I'm Suzanna Kaye. I'm a professional organizer and productivity coach, and in this course, I'll answer these questions and discuss many of the most common etiquette practices. I'll touch on the basics of how to identify and communicate with different personality types. We'll look at examples and suggestions for using positive body language, facial expressions, and vocal tone. We'll talk about etiquette in face-to-face, video, and audio meetings. We'll discuss how to communicate your ideas in business meetings as well as how to handle disagreements and opposing ideas, and we'll even go over etiquette specific to business meals and networking events. Whether you're just starting out in the business world or you're a seasoned professional looking to expand into new countries or grow in your career, you'll find the skills and guidelines you need to make a positive impression in all your face-to-face business interactions.
