(theme music) Hi, I'm Garrick Chow, and welcome to Home Techonomics, where each week, my colleagues and I take a look at the technologies we've brought into our homes, to make our lives a little easier, a little more efficient, and a little more fun. All of the contributors to this series are big fans of home technologies, but not just for technology's sake. We believe the best-designed and thought out devices can enrich our lives, by helping us to manage our households, save us money on bills, provide entertainment, and even help out with the kids.

So in this series we'll be talking about what initially attracted us to these gadgets and devices, how they performed in the real world, and whether or not they ultimately lived up to expectations, and earned a place in our homes.
