- Focus is both an expendable…and a renewable resource.…Think of this a little bit like your muscles.…You can use them for a period of time…and then eventually the strength gives out.…Each time you use them, they get stronger,…but eventually you're going to run out of strength.…This means that we want to establish…a refocusing pattern in your calendar…of resting, of replenishing, and recommitting.…Let's talk about each of those for just a moment.…First of all establish some time…in your schedule for resting.…
Resting time means we're not going to focus.…You're going to schedule a few moments…here and there that just allow you…to do nothing.…Just relax, do some sort of mindless activity.…Personally, I like to play video games…for a half an hour everyday.…It gives me permission to just do nothing…and that actually increases my ability…to focus later on.…Second, you can take time to replenish your focus.…One way to do that is by scheduling time…in your calendar to review this course in particular.…
