- [Instructor] As you get files organized…and move things around in Finder,…you should probably be aware of important information…about your files, things like how big the files are,…the file types, and what applications are used…to open those files.…To get all of that information under control,…you need to use a tool called Get Info.…So let's take a look at some of my files…and see how Get Info works.…I already have a Finder window open to my Documents folder.…I'm going to go into one of my subfolders…where I have a bunch of files.…
So all I need to do is select a file,…and then I could go into the File menu,…and I choose Get Info here,…or I could choose the same command from the Actions menu,…or I could use the keyboard shortcut, command + i.…So when I do that, whichever file is selected,…it will show me information about that file,…and there's a bunch of stuff to look at here…so let's talk about a few important details.…First, up at the top, we can see the name of the file…and its extension.…I can see that here.…
