Drawing lines
- [Instructor] Lines are a common element used in graphics to define areas and to connect one element to another element in the design. Drawing lines in PowerPoint can be a struggle for many beginners though, mainly because many line types in PowerPoint double as connectors. Let me show you what I mean. Now if you'd like to follow along in this exercise, open up the Drawing-Lines PowerPoint file located in this lesson's folder. Now let's go up to the Insert tab, and in the Illustrations group click on that Shapes drop-down menu and just click on this first line type, the very basic line. That'll turn our cursor into a kind of drawing cursor, and just clicking down in this empty area of our slide here, when we click and drag our line that's just gonna draw a basic line. And it's not connected to anything right now, but if I click and drag one point up to this top shape, notice how that shape will get these little connection points located around that rectangle.
