Adding and removing chart elements

- [Narrator] Depending on your chart type, PowerPoint will add in certain chart elements such as this chart title or a legend. Or grid lines or data labels. Most of these elements, however, can be quite distracting to the data and the message being communicated. Therefore, you will probably want to remove most of these chart elements. To remove chart elements, simply select the chart, and immediately, you should see these buttons up here to the right of the chart as well as some contextual tabs up here on the ribbon. Clicking the green plus sign next to the right of the chart will open up your chart elements window for your chosen chart type. Now everything with a check mark next to it is a chart element that is currently turned on. To turn that element off, simply clear the check mark and PowerPoint will remove that chart element. So clearing that chart title and clearing that legend, you can see PowerPoint will remove those elements and make my chart area a little bit bigger. Now…
