The key steps to effective testing and prototyping

- The leap from generating ideas to implementing them is fraught with danger. It's one thing to craft a great idea and quite another to get company and customer buy-in. This is where the three components of the testing and prototyping phase come in. They include socializing the idea with internal stakeholders, prototyping solutions, and testing and learning from customer interactions. This process doesn't proceed in sequential steps. You work in iterative loops, revising prototypes, doing rounds of testing, and, all along, consulting with stakeholders to get their feedback and build their support. Socializing the idea with internal stakeholders begins by mapping out all of the people who have control over resourcing, funding, supporting, or killing an idea.
