The business law and ethics overlap

- We have all these different terms, business law, business ethics, code of conduct, moral this and that, it's so much to remember, right? Well, as a manager, your company is not expecting you to be a legal expert. Well, unless your job is to be a legal expert, of course. However, you should have a basic understanding of the laws that will govern various aspects of your position and how you work with your team. You may be shouldered with the responsibility of interviewing, recruiting, hiring or firing employees, in which case business law will come up. In the workplace, business law and business ethics can and often do overlap. However, before you get to that, let's define each one. Business law is the set of laws and regulations that govern all aspects of a company's business activity.
