This video is not about compliance. The purpose of this video is to take your HR skills from administrative (e.g., payroll, forms and policies) to a strategic focus on your most important asset - humans.
- Before we get started on making you a more strategic partner in your organization, I thought it was important to address one thing. I wanted to be sure you understood that this course is about strategic HR. It is not about compliance with the law, nor is it about the administrative functions of HR. For example, I'll discuss setting compensation as a strategic activity, but I will not be discussing payroll guidelines or compliance with the Fair Labor Standards Act. This course was designed for people who are currently serving in the administrative HR function, but who would like to be seen as a more strategic partner or who would like to increase their value in the eyes of their leaders.
