Get a glimpse of the cool new features in macOS High Sierra.
- [Instructor] Welcome to this course on the new features in macOS High Sierra. I'm Nick Brazzi. macOS is the operating system for Macintosh computers. In this course, we'll take a quick look at what has changed in this new version. Perhaps the biggest change is under the hood. Apple is introducing a new file system called APFS. We'll talk a little bit about how that affects you and how it may make your computer run faster. This update also includes a lot of changes to bundled applications that come with the macOS.
We'll explore the Photos app to see how the organization and editing tools have been improved. We will see a few small changes to Safari, including a new way to adjust several settings for individual websites. There's also a useful new feature that stops videos on web pages from automatically playing. If you use iCloud Drive, you'll be able to use the new sharing feature to send files to collaborators. And finally, we will see some small additions to the Mail, Notes and Facetime applications as well.
So let's jump in and start exploring what's new in macOS High Sierra.
