Use a standard services agreement

- Attorneys are expensive. If you involve one every time you write a contract, you're going to run up a huge legal bill. Instead, have your attorney draft you a standard services agreement you can use with all your clients. Have sections related to your project as separate schedules that you can customize for each project you do. It'll save you time and money every time you negotiate and sign a contract. Standard services agreements should contain pricing and payment terms, the contract term and termination provisions, warranties and liability, confidentiality, indemnification, ownership of deliverables and intellectual property, insurance requirements, and a statement of work for what you'll deliver to the client. If your client has a standard agreement, use it, It's easier to negotiate and get it approved.
