- It's impossible to be happy unless you feel good physically, and part of the physical side of things is getting enough sleep. The way the world is set up today makes it harder and harder to get enough sleep. Many of us have TVs in our bedrooms, our mobiles, and iPads by our beds, we've got emails coming in all evening, there's Facebook to keep up with, and it's easy to suddenly realize it's after midnight. In fact, if you work long hours, you don't get enough time to yourself anyway, the evenings feel precious, so it's very tempting not to go to bed until late, and then of course, you regret it in the morning. One of the things about sleep that is tricky is that you can stay up late once and be fine, and if you go to bed early once, you don't feel that good in the morning, maybe even worse than normal, because your routine has been disturbed.
