- When planning a presentation, the very first thing you should do is consider your audience. Who are they? Why are they listening to your presentation? By understanding the needs and values of your audience, your team can tailor your presentation specifically to them. This may require a bit more work, but it's well worth it. First, what are your audience's expectations? It's important for your team to know exactly what your audience is expecting from the presentation.
