- In the course of this journey we're going to use my Thrive steps that will help us get from where we are to where we want to be, because we all face the same pressures. Being overworked, often overwhelmed, stressed, and burned out. I came to this realization the hard way. Eight years ago I collapsed from exhaustion, burn out, and sleep deprivation. I hit my head on my desk on my way down, broken my cheekbone, ended up with four stitches on my right eye, and as I came to in my own pool of blood I started asking myself these questions, is this what success is? Is this is what is a good life? And I started introducing small, microscopic changes in my life. And I realized that that's how transformational change happens, one step at a time, one step at a time, until the way we experience life dramatically changes.
