Recruiting process

- Have you ever thought about the excitement and gratification of changing lives for the better on a daily basis? I'd like to ask you a few questions. Are you the type of person that really wants to leave your mark? Do you really want to make a difference, not only in your life, but in the lives of the people you're going to interact with? Would you like no limits on what you can achieve in your career or what you can earn? How about a career where no two days are alike, because you have people on both sides of your sale? If you answered yes to any of these questions, the recruiting profession is a profession that can answer all those needs and provides you with a lifetime of growth and achievement. What you do in recruitment is you're basically bridging the gap from where people are now to where they want to be. Next to good health, money and employment have the greatest impact on a person's life. When a person has a job and when they have money, they have choices. When they don't, there are no choices. And what you basically become in recruiting is their lifetime career advocate. You position yourself as the best listener in their life. And what's wonderful about the way we listen in the recruiting profession, is we listen, not to judge people, but to see the world through their eyes. To put ourselves in their position, so we understand what they're trying to do next, and we basically make that happen. If you're great at the recruiting profession, what you do is you basically become the eyes and ears of your candidate in the job market. And you provide them with the competitive edge, because you have inside information on the companies you represent and the hiring authorities who hire you to find them talent. And so you can basically help people obtain their dreams by giving them the competitive edge as you share the network contacts with them that you have, and once you do this for them, they're willing to share their contacts with you. On the other side of the recruiting process, you're going to cultivate relationships with hiring authorities, and what they eventually view you as is a workforce/workplace expert. In fact, you become as important to them as their other professional advisors. In the recruiting profession, there's currently three realities which are wonderful for our profession. There is tremendous worldwide competition for talent right now. Top talent is very difficult to identify. Number two, according to AARP, baby boomers are retiring a rate of six every ten seconds. Think about that for a moment. I mean, that's amazing how fast people are retiring, and nobody is ready to replace that talent. Also, the need for talent keeps escalating. Year by year, there's a stronger need for top talent, and all of these realities are great for the recruiting profession. Think of the impact you could have on a company by giving them someone who really is that great hire that changes everything for them. There's a great perk in recruiting. There's constant change in recruiting. And in recruiting, we have a lifetime of learning as our challenge, because things continue to change. Everything changes in the recruiting profession as technology changes and the job market changes. In fact, technology has really changed the way we work as recruiters, the way hiring authorities are hiring and the way candidates are finding jobs. Once you master the art of recruiting, you're going to be well on your way to achieving, not only your personal and your career goals, but financial stability and growth.
