I'm Lida Citroen, and I'm a civilian who recognize that our nation's veterans are often at a significant disadvantage in identifying and then competing for meaningful civilian jobs. So I decided to use my background in reputation management and personal branding to help veterans compete for those jobs, and to help employers attract higher and on-board veteran employees. In fact, I wrote the book. I wrote the book Your Next Mission, a personal branding guide for the military-to-civilian transition.
And it's been read by thousands of veterans and company hiring managers. Veterans make up a unique workforce. They bring amazing skills, talents, and training that many employers find appealing. They also bring some differences that many employers find challenging. Veterans do not receive the training, tools, or insights to understand a civilian workplace, how employers hire, and what it really takes to be successful in their next career.
