- Data visualization is one of the most interesting area in data science. It's how you display your data using graphics and imagery. Simple graphics are one of the best ways to communicate complex ideas. It's a real challenge to balance complex ideas against simple design. Most reports tip too far in one direction or the other. There are many beautiful charts that don't really communicate much information. On the other hand, there are also very informative charts that are ugly and difficult to understand. Good visualization is a core responsibility of the data analyst. That being said, the analyst should work closely with the data science team. If you have to explain the chart to the research lead, then it's probably too complex for everyone else.
