- One of the key considerations of planning a successful event is technology. Technology can make or break an event, which is why it's important to plan well and make sure that you have all the technology that you need. Every event is unique and will require a tailored technology plan. However, there are several key elements that will deserve attention no matter what kind of event you're planning. I'm going to share with you two of the most critical of these. Power and internet. Technology needs power to work. So, it's important to make sure that you have confirmed, reliable sources of power. Including backups, in case any of the primary sources fail. This means verifying all of the details with your venue early on. In some cases, if they don't have the infrastructure to handle your power needs, it might even be a reason to pick a different venue.
