- I'd like to actually walk you through the process of filing a Trademark application. Follow along with me. We're gonna go to uspto.gov to start. When we get there we're gonna click at the top under Trademarks, and we're actually gonna click Filing Online. Now there's a variety of choices when you get to this point. We're gonna file an Initial Application, it's the very first one. A couple of choices of how to file your initial application, there's a different fee structure for each. The most common and the one we're gonna use today is at the top, it's called File a TEAS Plus Application. When we get here it's gonna give us a variety of warnings, you can read all of these of course. And what it asks under number 1 Is an attorney filing this? The answer is sort of Yes, because I'm an attorney, but for your benefit we're gonna say No, because I'm helping you file this on your own. And we're gonna press Continue.
