- Sharing the stage with colleagues may reduce your nerves about public speaking, but don't let that allow your team to fall into the common trap of trying to wing your presentation. Even if it feels like less pressure, team presentations aren't necessarily easy. Because there are others involved, you can't make decisions about how or what you'll deliver without some planning and coordination. Start by setting a timeline for your preparation early, so you have time to develop your plan and practice. I've included a brief checklist in the Exercise Files that will help you with this. As a team, decide exactly how you'll collaborate. My course on Communication within Teams will be helpful to you if you haven't already watched it. Remember to tailor your presentation for your specific audience, plan and practice the logistics, and develop memorable content.
