This video will offer some ideas for moving forward, including talking to leaders about becoming a part of the strategic growth of the company.
- Thanks so much for joining me on this journey through strategic HR. Now that you've completed the course you should be able to move from the administrative functions of HR into that of a strategic partner in your organization's success. You can participate in strategic planning with your leaders, perform job analysis, and develop a recruiting strategy. You can make your employees the best they can be with a killer on-boarding program and performance management and training programs. You can even tie your training programs to making or saving your company money. You're also well equipped to create a workplace full of highly engaged workers and to build a culture where people thrive.
The resources available to you beyond this course are virtually endless. A quick internet search of any HR topic will provide a ton of information. That said, one great place to start is the Society for Human Resources Management, or SHRM. The national group, at shrm.org, has a wealth of knowledge available and I recommend joining a local chapter for the networking and mentorship. Some books that you might find useful are Repurposing HR: From a Cost Center to a Business Accelerator and Defining HR Success.
I am so excited you decided to advance your career and become a strategic partner in your business. I am so excited for you and all you can create and build inside your organization to make it a great place to work. You are a big part of your organization's success and I know you can do it.
