- This movie is about avoiding lateness by monitoring progress from the start so that you can make corrections as early as possible. Think back to the Commonwealth Games in India a few years ago. They realized only with a week to go, suddenly they realized that they weren't gonna make it after all. Of course they did make it and the ceremony was fantastic and the games went really well. But at what cost because there was a massive expensive panic to get everything ready because they only realized at the last minute they had this problem. It would've been much better to know earlier. If you know earlier it gives you much more time to correct. And only a small correction is needed if you've got plenty of time to do that correction. And a gantt chart will show this. What it does effectively is it brings the pane forward to now. Once you know in good time that you've got a problem you've got certain options.
