- Now we're gonna have a look at time problems…that you might have with your project,…and how can you avoid these.…The first thing I want to talk about…is the idea of the critical path,…and the fact that if you get…some of your dependencies wrong…or you miss a dependency between one task and another,…you may end up then forecasting…the wrong overall time that your project's gonna take,…and this is gonna go badly with your customers.…So if you have a look at this diagram,…this explains the process.…This thing here is known as a network diagram.…
I usually call it a Post-It Note diagram…for obvious reasons.…This is what I've prepared earlier for a little project…setting up an office in a foreign country.…So I wrote each task on a Post-It Note…and I put them in the right order,…and then I've put the times on them…that I'm estimating for each of these tasks.…What we're gonna do, we're gonna choose our country.…Then once we've done that, we're gonna get the manager.…Then we'll be applying for a permit,…and we can also be looking for a suitable site.…
