Memorable conclusions
- In your team presentation, a powerful ending is just as important as an interesting opening. It's always awkward when a presentation ends, but it isn't clear to the audience that it's over. We sit there and wonder, "Should I clap?" Maybe even worse. The speaker shrugs unceremoniously and says, "That's it," or, "Thank you," and then it's clear the presentation is over. To avoid this conclusion and leave a better final impression, there are three things you want to make sure your team covers during the conclusion of your presentation, a review, clarification of next steps, and a connection to the introduction. In an ideal world, your conclusion will leave your audience wanting more. Starting with the review, the person giving the conclusion should quickly walk us through the key points of the presentation your other teammates have covered.
