Measuring your success
It's been said that when performance is measured, performance improves, and when performance is measured and reported, performance improves dramatically. That's exactly what we want to do by measuring your numbers. We want to increase the level of performance within your business. Now, how often should we be tracking or reviewing the numbers in your business? We want to look for natural dividing points in your business. Perhaps it's best to do it every single month. Perhaps you want to do it every week. Whatever is most appropriate for your business, you can decide, but at minimum, I recommend that you do this every quarter. That's what I do with my clients. I review the numbers every three months. Set aside some time in your calendar to do this. It may take a little time to go through the process of reviewing the reports and inputting the numbers, so set aside maybe three hours a week in your calendar. Now, how do we track all this data?
