- If you're watching this LinkedIn learning course, you're probably at least somewhat familiar with LinkedIn. But there's so much you can do to build and leverage your sales network through your LinkedIn presence. Let's start with your profile. Is it complete? You've probably already linked in to everyone you know and trust. A good rule of thumb for LinkedIn requests is this. If they asked you for a favor, would you be glad to help? If the answer is no, don't link in. And I'm guessing that you've done the other basics like completing your work experience, education and interests, and maybe even gotten some recommendations. If you have no endorsements, try to solicit a few. People are looking at your profile to see if you're relevant, meaning you can help them. But they're also trying to determine if you're credible.
