Making connections and coping with fear

- As we have seen earlier, Positive Humor helps people connect. It works because it unites people on an emotional level. The people who make us laugh are people we want to be around. They make the moments of our lives special. I like to say that shared laughter is love made audible. Laughing with others increases the impact of humor. It's much more fun to laugh in a group, like when we are at a movie or at a comedy club than when we are alone. A room full of laughter is an energizer. The laughter builds as it goes from one person to another. There's actually a term for this experience, infectious laughter. Social scientists believe that positive emotions are contagious, which might explain why shared laughter can play an important role in building strong bonds between individuals in a workplace.
