- The most important elements of any technology plan are power and internet. And once you're confident you have the right framework in place to run the show, the next thing you want to think about is light and sound. Light is a magical, powerful element, because it creates moods and alters environments. It also both illuminates and shadows. It can help people to focus, or encourage them to be distracted. Which is why it's important to evaluate the lighting needs for your event early, and plan accordingly. Hopefully, you've chosen a venue that's in line with your needs already. For example, lots of natural light works great for a team-building exercise, but it would be terrible if you're planning to have on-screen presentations all day.
