Life audit: Identifying short and long-term goals

- Every week we are going to do a life audit. That may sound daunting but it's actually not at all. It basically means checking in with ourselves. And we're going to do it by making a list of all our short term and long term life goals. You can a Post-it and a Sharpie and write each goal on one Post-it. You can write the ones you love thinking about and the ones you dread thinking about. You can stick them on your bathroom mirror, I like doing that. The important thing is to just write them down. Let me write down a couple of mine. The first one would be clean up my closet. Get rid of all the things that are there that I'm never going to wear, you know that miniskirt from the 60s, really? I'm never going to wear it. Time to get rid of that stuff. Another one that I've been trying to do but I still haven't succeeded is to do my yoga, even for 10 minutes, every day. Even for 10 minutes, every day. These are postures that I know make me feel more energetic throughout the day, so why don't I do them every day? I want to start doing them. My third priority is building Thrive Global to change the way we work and live. There are many more, but let me start with those. The bottom line is to hang on to this list and through the next six lessons we're going to work to really understand what still deserves to be on this list, cleaning the closet definitely does, and what Post-its or items in your journal you can actually release. So that's the first exercise, take a life audit and list goals small and big.
