Join Dave Crenshaw for an in-depth discussion in this video I love my job. How do I separate my work and hobbies?, part of Balancing Work and Life.
When someone loves what they do,…that's an ideal situation.…I would consider that I'm in that situation myself.…The hazard, of course, can be…that you work longer hours.…In situations like that,…you still want to have some sort of a reminder,…some sort of a transition.…I mentioned in one of the videos…about having that transition time.…That's really important in a career like that.…So you have some sort of a natural barrier…maybe you have an appointment with a friend…to go running at a certain time every day.…
That way you know you have to stop,…or in my case when the kids come in…they knock on the door.…Create some sort of external barrier…that reminds you.…If you can't get one of those,…then you may just have to have an alarm timer.…It's really great that someone wants to work…long hours with what they do.…You also want to make sure that you're taking breaks…so that you maintain your creativity…over a long period of time…and not get burned out.…
