- When you're planning a remote meeting,…the first question is audio or video.…Personally, I don't like just audio at all.…One to one phone calls are okay.…But as soon as you have three or more people,…I think they just get too difficult.…I know they're cheaper and all you need is a phone line,…but they're almost useless when it comes…to discussing or solving anything difficult.…So I think they should be a last resort.…And technology's improving at such a fast rate…that I think they'll soon be a thing of the past.…
Always choose video meetings if you can.…The biggest problem with any remote meeting…is the lack of body language.…When we communicate,…over half of the message is going on non-verbally…without us really noticing.…And on the phone, these are all taken out.…So it's no wonder that we find the phone less satisfying.…With Skype or its equivalents,…you do get to see the other person,…but not as clearly as in real life.…The human eye in a face to face meeting…is so quick and so clever.…
