Skill Level Intermediate
- Few things in professional life are as powerful and useful, or sometimes harmful, as giving a presentation. You might be speaking to direct reports, your peers, your leadership team, a client, or maybe at a conference. In all of these cases, making a presentation offers a special chance to boost or harm your reputation. All eyes are on you, you're the expert, the audience wants to listen and learn. But how will you do? You have to know how to stay on point throughout the message you wish to deliver, without getting sidetracked in a way that makes the audience tune out.
That's a skill you can learn. In this course, we'll talk about how to prepare, the nature of good handouts and slides, how to deal with questions and interruptions, and how to do deal with the occasional mistakes we all make. When you're done, you'll be more knowledgeable and feel more capable of stepping up and delivering an effective presentation.
