(jolly, upbeat music) - Millennials are kind of the worst. I'm Elizabeth McLeod and I am a millennial. - And I'm Lisa McLeod and I'm obviously not. They're actually not the worst, we have worked with a number of companies and have helped them attract and retain top tier millennial talent, and it's for one simple reason, it's because they want a purpose at work and the companies who provide that are the companies that get exceptional talent. - Right, and our work on emotional engagement, all of our research has revealed the sense of purpose in this really meaningful workplace, it surpasses everything, it surpasses your salary, your benefits, how likely you are to move up, any outside of work opportunities your company might offer. It is the single most important thing to the millennials and a lot of other generations too. - The millennials were raised to believe they were going to change the world, and here's the great thing, you don't have to have a nonprofit. - Right, and you don't have to have a foosball table and lots of free beer to attract this awesome talent. - All you have to do is simply show your team how much your work matters, whether you improve the customer's condition, your industry, if you can bring that sense of meaning and purpose to the four, you will hire better people, you will become a destination employer, and you will outperform your competition. - Who doesn't want that? (jolly, upbeat music)
