One of my most challenging projects…was based around time frame and people.…The thing was, we had a project that was actually scheduled…to take 18 months, and they wanted…to bring it in to five months.…Now that's not a problem, if you throw the resources at it.…I'm talking money, people, technology,…tools, and techniques.…The problem was, this organization was going through…a very big cost-cutting exercise.…So, of course, those resources weren't available.…
So what we had to do was we were constantly…managing the triple constraints of the project.…The time, the budget, and of course at the bottom the scope.…One of the things we actually found was…we went back, and using my business analysis techniques,…was re-prioritize what it was…the organization was trying to achieve.…So by looking at the mandatory, the important,…and the nice-to-have elements,…and really focused on the mandatory things.…What we did is we actually delivered…a bulk of what was requested, in what we call phase one.…
