Gretchen Rubin, a thought leader in happiness and habits, teaches us how use the Four Tendencies framework to create great habits at work.
- I'm Gretchen Rubin, and for the past several years, I've been studying habits. Habits are like the invisible architecture of everyday life. Up to 40% of our ordinary day is shaped by our habits. If we have habits that work for us, we're far more likely to be happier, healthier, and more productive. And in this series of videos, I am going to show you how to understand your own nature when it comes to habits, because it turns out that's the most important thing. When you understand yourself, you can set up your habits in the way that's right for you.
Because so often if you've tried and failed and gotten discouraged because you haven't been able to change an important habit, it's not because you lack willpower, it's not because you're not motivated. It's because you haven't set up the habit in the way that's right for you. And we're gonna go through very specifically all the different ways that you can understand how you might be like other people, or different from other people. So you can set up the habit in the way that's going to give you the success that you want. Because when change our habits, we change our lives.
