Focus on what's good and build gratitude

- For today's happiness activity, I want you think about what's good about your life, not just today, now, but in general. See if you can make a great big list of all the things to give thanks for in your life. And these could be small things like fruit growing in your garden, the view from your window, the smell and the sound of the sea when you walk your dog, et cetera, and they can be big things like your health, your children, pets, friends, et cetera. Sorry, I think I should have put friends before pets in that list. Some people like to separate these into areas of their life, for example, physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual, or work, family, friends, and self. You might find that a framework like this becomes obvious once you start listing the things that make you happy. By putting your items into categories, you can make sure that nothing's been forgotten in any one of them, and that you aren't a bit thin in any of them. For example, you don't want to forget the…
