If you want to host a team building retreat with real impact great planning is essential. Having said that without knowing how to facilitate the meeting itself the very best of plans can easily fizzle out. Let's think for just a moment about great facilitation. Your first task is to choose an inside facilitator or an outside facilitator. Both have pros and cons. The inside person is familiar with the players in the room and knows the issues that define the current working environment.
