- Congratulations! Thanks to great planning, hard work and creative ideas, your event was a smashing success. Now it's time to wrap up the final loose ends. After the event is over, you'll need to arrange payment for any final invoices. Most of your vendors will likely require that you pay them in full before the event date. The exception will be for any goods or services that were based on consumption or timing and therefore couldn't really be finalized until after the event. Catering most certainly falls into this category, along with some ground transportation services like taxis and shuttles. Wages for any staff that you hire will also be billed after the event along with any services charges, taxes, and gratuities. All of this, along with the payment terms, will have been spelled out in each vendor agreement so you shouldn't have any big surprises.
