In this video, learn how to build an audience and how to keep them engaged.
- Once you've figured out your voice and your channels, the next step is to think about the types of content that you're putting out there. What are you sharing with the world? One good thing is that the content you put out there will get immediate response. You'll get either a dead response or a response back that people are interested and engaged in what you're sharing. Use that as a goalpost for you to continue to evolve content in that direction. Everybody wants to be entertained.
Most people want to learn and get good content that helps them become more informed. Thinking about this type of a starting point towards the content that you're creating is going to be really helpful with building your audience. I previously mentioned not to do a peanut butter spread of content across all sorts of channels, but I would say that every so often you should experiment with the same type of content on different channels to see if it resonates better. Putting thought leadership content into Snapchat is probably not going to be an effective strategy, but you should be playing around with the different channels to see if you get better engagement in different areas.
