- I mentioned internal dialogues in another video, and how we have things that we say to ourselves that affect what happens to us, and how these can make us happier or less happy. There are four of these thought patterns, which are so common and so powerful that they're known as personality drivers. I want to explore these four in this video. These are repeating habits which drive your thinking and then your actions, and they will all make you less happy if you let them get stronger and stronger, which they will if you're not careful. So, the question is do you have any of the four, and if so, how can you push back against them and keep them under control? The first personality driver is known as be perfect, and this is a voice in your head that says (inhales) that detail isn't quite right. I'd better fix it. It might apply to typos and grammar. It might be the layout of a document. It might be your own physical appearance. It might be your house, or your golf swing, or your children…
