Demonstrating good body language
In this video, we'll look at how body language can affect how others perceive you. Remember that the first 10 seconds sets the tone and opinion of the interviewer. Here, the candidate comes in with a confident stride, standing tall. His handshake is controlled, with palm extended straight, and their thumbs interlock. As he sits, he turns his body to a 45 degree angle, allowing him to turn his full attention to the interviewer. This also allows him to maintain eye contact. He smiles frequently and uses his hand gestures in an appropriate manner that does not distract from his answers. As they end the interview, the candidate continues to show confidence. He extends his hand first to close the interview and ends with a smile. As you can see the body language you express in an interview can make a big difference in how you are perceived...
