- Office machines can easily take up a large amount of space in an office. The wrong machine, or the wrong placement, can slow productivity and make regular tasks very inefficient. Let's talk about how to choose the right office machine for your space, the right one for your needs, and where the best place is to store them. Before purchasing equipment, examine your answers to the questions in the What You Need to Know movie. Make a list of the machines that are required for the tasks you do regularly. For example, if you teach, a printer may be essential for printing handouts. Next, make a list of the machines that support your less frequent tasks. Consider your other options, aside from having that machine in your office. Can you purchase the service from a retail store, like, laminating from a print shop?
