- Drew runs the HR department for a hundred-person financial services firm. He is considering hiring a vendor to assist with the HR function, but the CEO puts a high value on applying the human factor in conducting human resources. A careful review of services and culture would benefit Drew the most in this situation. What are some of the potential concerns that managers may have with using vendors? First, some companies may prefer to grow their HR expertise in-house so that the outcome can be more customized to the company. Alternatively, if you hire an outsource HR consultant, you are essentially paying for that expertise and some of the expenses that go into training and education for that outsource vendor.
