- Depending on the size of your organization, you may not interact directly with the CEO as much as you do with other members of senior leadership. In larger-product organizations, there can be multiple product teams and multiple product managers. In organizations like this, there is usually a head of product, sometimes called the chief product officer, that the project managers will report to. The head of product is the biggest champion for the overall product vision and overseeing that the organization's product teams are aligned in their work. You can be more detailed with the head of product as to what your team is doing, because he or she may see synergy between different product teams. For example, if two separate product teams are both working on different aspects of user accounts, there may be a smarter way for them to work together to move forward faster.
