- The speech outline is crucial in identifying the key points and the order presenting those. But now you have to have something to say about those topics. Maybe testimonials or support from interviewing people. Or questionnaire results. In other words, you still need to collect primary research. First, consider what you already know. Maybe you have had first hand experience and want to use your personal knowledge. That's possible. However, you are still just one person. So it's best to avoid basing your entire speech on only this one type of primary support. What about your friends? Someone who works in that field? Or random people? Maybe someone can share an example of trying home grooming or an expert rock climber can give a testimonial about the safety.
