- Has your older report been having a challenging time collaborating with you or the rest of the team? It might be due to generational differences related to language or communication style. Using a visual planning technique like mind mapping is a great way to cut through these differences. When used in project planning sessions, mind maps are an intuitive and experiential way for team members to communicate. They're great for brainstorming initial concepts, for project planning and goal setting. They help organza thoughts and ideas, and give everyone the opportunity to weigh in on the issue and help solve problems.
